I was born in a small town right outside of Chicago, but lived most my life in San Antonio. I ended up going to Texas State University and bought a camera to start a cooking show...lol. That's when JLC Productions was born. I started taking pictures for my friends at parties, and for friends clothing brands/organizations, and stated to really have fun seeing the quality photos I can bring to life. Not only that, but I became passionate and learned to capture a sense of emotions that can last forever through my lens. I'm very blessed to be in this position, and that's why every shoot is such a fun time. My clients become friends, and I'm always exited to work with them again! Btw...I never made a single cooking show episode...lol.
My approach
I feel that everyone has such a unique story of their own, and I'm grateful to those who trust me to capture moments of their story that will last a lifetime. That's why I take pride in my work, and give my best efforts in capturing these moments.
Community is also big with me. Like I said, clients become my friends and I love helping where I can. Whether it's volunteering at church or telling the story of survivors from the recent floods in Texas, I want my brand to be bigger than just another "photography business", but rather a brand that the community can love, trust, and evolve with.
